So I have a venue on Queen Street with a display stand full of my little lovelies at Boreal .

Dundas Street is getting a new rockin’ retail addition, a record and oddities shop. CSC will be in there come March for it’s opening.

A package from CSC is being auctioned off at Tabby’s fundraiser. It’s at Unit bar and for a frickin heavy hearted cause. Go. Give money. CSC’s package includes 9 blank cards for every and any occasion (3 guitar pick cards, 3 tea tag cards, 3 button cards) valued at $72 dollars.

I started doing some fun new artsy stuff. Saw a picture of nail and string art, came up with a “what if I did it this way to make it a little cooler,” and so far so good. Will post finished first piece once I am happy with it.

I’m adding some paper highlights. Focusing on the shadows of the nails and the direction of grain on the wood. It’s a lot of fun. I’m inquiring to submit this series to be part of an art show somewhere in the neighbourhood.

Valentines. So. Yeah. I will be finishing those cards this week. Giving some to Boreal Shop in Parkdale. I gotta get into more shops, I feel the demand and inquiry into my cards surpasses the ease of getting them. If only I had a store … one day I will. That day is coming closer and closer.

2012… you are such a romantic!

The year started off with watching a Woody Allen film, Midnight in Paris. It stars Owen Wilson as the romanticist protagonist, who visits Paris with his fiancee. He fawns over the idea of being in Paris during the 1920′s to the point where he, every midnight, gets magically whisked back to that era. Hanging out with Fitzgerald, Salvador Dali, Gertrude Stein, Picasso. Such a fun beautiful film.

Now I am working on wedding invites for Dad and getting ready for Valentines. I’m brainstorming romantic ideas and ideals.

I have cookies in the oven, Sexsmith documentary “Love Shines,” on the TV in my office. And I’m trying to think of what fills me, and hopefully others, with a little feeling of love.

Let the card making begin….

Christmas is about family and friends, and some serious R & R.

Spent some time out of the city and into the mountains. Reset button was pressed and I’m raring to go. Getting some cards and buttons and ready for the Boreal Gelato Company. Thoughts of opening a little shop of my own. Once the idea is in my head, I won’t stop until it is a reality… Stay tuned for more.
